August Limited Edition "Natural Donguri" Now Open for Reservations ♪

Hello everyone, this is Takamatsu from the Comomg staff.

The item we made as a new product last year,
"Natural Donguri," is back in limited quantities!

This time we'd like to introduce "Natural Donguri," a special version of Comomg's popular "Donguri Korokoro" made from 7 kinds of wood.

"Natural Donguri," now open for reservations, is made with more kinds of wood than last year, and with a different selection 🌳

The woods we use will keep changing from year to year, so some of these acorns may be 2021-only and never available again 🤭

Since the number we make differs by type of wood,

if you absolutely want one, we recommend reserving early!

One of the highlights of this product!!

Let us introduce the 7 kinds of wood ♪

Teak

Teak, with its stylish tiger-like pattern.
A smooth-textured wood that is brown with a hint of green.

Mizuki (dogwood)

Mizuki, with its beautiful glossy hat.
A fine-grained wood with a whitish surface and a faint green tint.

Walnut

Walnut, also used for "Donguri no Saka."
A dark brown wood with a luxurious feel.
It gives off a sweet scent when it's worked.

Purpleheart

One of the harder woods among the 7, it becomes smooth and shiny when polished.
A wood with a vivid purple color that is rare among woods.

Bubinga

Unlike the impression its name gives, it is brown with a touch of
pale pink, giving it a lovely color.

Shina (linden)

The lightest wood of the 7.
Its soft texture lets you feel the warmth of wood.

Keyaki (zelkova)

Keyaki, a perfect fit for Japanese-style homes.
It's sure to look great even placed on tatami mats!
A wood with a rich brown color and a distinct grain.

Each has its own character, and they roll in different ways depending on the weight and size of the wood.
It's a difficult time because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but
seeing them in person at the Comomg Shop & Café lets you enjoy the differences even more,
so if you're in the area, please feel free to come and try them out ♪

After enjoying them as decorations,
put them on a slope and let the acorns move ♪
The Natural Donguri will race each other down the slope with a clickety-clack.

No "Donguri no Saka"? No problem!
You can use any flat board you have at home instead 😊
Buying a flat board at a home improvement store
and making your own slope could also be a fun summer vacation craft project ♪

The price of "Natural Donguri" varies depending on the wood used.
Please choose your favorite acorn ♪

"Shina" and "Walnut": ¥3,000

"Mizuki" and "Keyaki": ¥3,200
