Comomg's popular character that toddles down slopes now has a dollhouse of its own: the Donguri Korokoro dollhouse is here.

• The roof is set at the same angle as the slopes Donguri Korokoro actually roll down, so beyond displaying it as a dollhouse, children can also move the Donguri figures along the roof and play.
• With its soft curves and warm wood texture, and a slim depth of just 20 cm, it fits on a desk or bay window without feeling bulky.
• Dollhouse pretend play, where dolls take on all kinds of roles, nurtures children's imagination. The simple, gentle faces of Donguri Korokoro make it easy for children to project their feelings onto them, so they can play family, friends, kindergarten classmates and more, depending on their imagination.
• The paint and adhesive meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

Dollhouse play with small parts such as furniture is often recommended for ages 3 and up, but with a family member watching over, it is also perfect for the pretend play that starts around age 2. It makes a lovely 2nd birthday gift for boys and girls alike.

Sustainable Craftsmanship with Local Wood

The Donguri House is made from quality hinoki cypress grown in Saitama Prefecture. It combines the characteristic grain and knots of hinoki with a soft form defined by its curves. The roof is finished in traditional Japanese vermilion, a color chosen to complement the hinoki.

We make a point of using Japanese wood, especially timber from our own region. Beyond nurturing healthy forests and giving back to the local community, it also reduces the petroleum fuel used in transport. We hope to keep making toys that contribute to a sustainable society, and to pass this on to children naturally through play.

Q. From what age can children play with it?
A. The recommended age is 3 and up. Many dollhouse toys with small parts are recommended for ages 3 and up, but with a family member watching over, it can also be used for the pretend play that starts around age 2.

Q. Are Donguri Korokoro figures or furniture included?
A. No, they are not included. The set contains the Donguri House only. The Donguri Korokoro figures and the Donguri Furniture Dining Set / Bedroom Set are sold separately.

Q. Are the paint and adhesive safe?
A. The paint used on the body (Osmo Color Normal Clear) is safe even if licked; once dry, the coating complies with German industrial standard DIN 53160 (saliva and sweat resistance test), the European toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standards). The paint used on the roof (U-OIL) is a natural finish made without petroleum-based solvents. An analysis by the Japan Food Research Laboratories (2018) confirmed that it meets the standards of Japan's Food Sanitation Act (for synthetic resin utensils, containers and packaging), and a formaldehyde emission test confirmed it is equivalent to F☆☆☆☆. The adhesive is the highly safe Titebond III (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).
