Donguri Santa is the Santa Claus version of Donguri Korokoro, our wooden toy that sways gently down a slope. This Christmas-limited "Natural" edition of Donguri Santa is finished only in the colors of natural wood, with no paint. Woods of different colors, such as the purple wood purpleheart and maple, are combined to create the figure of Santa.

– About Purpleheart –

Purpleheart is a very unusual wood that is purple in itself, without any paint. It is a rare wood, and only small amounts are available. It is also very hard, which makes it difficult to cut and shape. Each piece was finished with time and care in the Comomg workshop. When exposed to light, the purple slowly changes to a calmer shade. Watching the color change is one of the pleasures of natural wood.

– Features –

• Santa finished only in natural wood colors: With no paint, Santa is shown through the different colors of the wood. The finish is Osmo Color Normal Clear, so you can see the wood grain and the color of the wood just as they are.
• Sound and movement down the slope: The glass ball inside taps against the wood with a gentle clatter as Santa sways down the slope.
• An easy-to-grip hat: The bump on the hat is shaped so that even small hands can grip it easily.
• Safe paint and glue: We use paint and glue that meet Japanese and international safety standards. For details, please see the FAQ.

– How to Play –

Tilt a board slightly to make a slope and place Santa on it, and it sways down. A tray or a picture book can also be a slope. It is also lovely to leave out as a Christmas decoration.
*You will receive one Santa. A slope is not included.

– As a Gift –

It also makes a great Christmas gift. How about placing it under the tree as a present for Christmas morning?

Q. What kind of sound does it make?
A. The glass ball inside taps against the wood, making a soft clattering sound.

Q. Is the purple color painted on?
A. No, it is not painted. The wood called purpleheart is purple by nature. When exposed to light, it slowly changes to a calmer shade.

Q. Are the paint and glue safe?
A. We use a paint that is safe even if licked (Osmo Color Normal Clear). Once dry, the coating complies with the German industrial standard DIN 53160 (saliva and sweat resistance test), the European toy safety standard EN 71-3, and the Japanese Food Sanitation Act (toy standards).
