"Natural Donguri," made in the natural colors of wood with a beautiful contrast. We made Donguri Korokoro, the wooden toy with an acorn cap that walks charmingly down a slope, from natural walnut and maple.

– Features –

• The cap is made of walnut, and the face of maple. Combining two natural woods with different tones creates a beautiful contrast that brings out the character of the wood itself. Since it's finished only with a transparent clear coat, you can also enjoy the individuality of each piece's grain and tone just as it is.
• As it goes down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood and makes a pleasant "koto-koto" sound, and its slow rolling motion is easy for little ones whose eyesight is still developing to follow with their eyes.
• Children's hand movements are still less developed than adults', and their hands can be slippery with sweat — but the acorn cap's ridge is shaped to be easy for small hands to grip firmly.
• The paint and glue used meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

Tilt the base that Natural Donguri sits on just slightly to make a slope, and it will sway from side to side as it charmingly makes its way down. Any flat, board-like material works for the slope the acorn walks down — you can also use a tray or a picture book.

The pleasant wooden sound as it goes down the slope and its distinctive motion are soothing and enjoyable not only for children but for adults too. Q. What age is it suitable for?
A. The recommended age is 3 years and up. Even children younger than 3 can enjoy its cute movement down the slope if an adult moves it for them.

Q. What kind of sound does it make?
A. As it goes down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood, making a pleasant "koto-koto" wooden sound.

Q. Does it come with a slope?
A. This product includes only the Natural Donguri itself; the acorn slope is not included. Any flat, board-like object can be used instead, so please try a tray or a picture book.

Q. Are the paint and glue safe?
A. The paint used (Osmo Color Normal Clear) is safe even if licked, and once dry, the coating meets the German industrial standard DIN53160 (saliva/sweat resistance test), the EU toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standard). The glue is also a highly safe product, Titebond III (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).
