Donguri Hina Ningyo/basic set with Name Plate

■ If you don't need name engraving, see here: Donguri Hina Ningyo

2026 production is sold out.

Donguri Korokoro's Hina doll display, "Donguri Hina Ningyo." This is the Name Plate version of our wooden Hinamatsuri doll set — perfect for the Peach Festival and made beautiful by the contrast of the wood's natural colors — paired with a Name Plate on which your child's name and date of birth can be engraved.

－　Features　－

• Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama are made from natural woods of different hues — maple, walnut, zelkova, bubinga, and purple heart. With no staining and only a clear finish, you can enjoy the natural color contrast and beautiful grain of the wood just as it is.
• The byōbu (folding screen) forms a small slope, so both Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama can be rolled down it. More than just a decoration, it is a practical design that also lets you enjoy the "koto-koto" rolling motion unique to the Donguri Korokoro series.
• It comes with a Name Plate for a name, date of birth, and more, so it can be given as a one-of-a-kind keepsake for a new baby or a Hinamatsuri celebration.
• This item is made not as a toy but as a wooden decorative piece. Because of its delicate construction, it is meant to be displayed and cherished. As it includes small parts, please have an adult present when placing it within reach of small children (see the FAQ below for details).
• The paint and adhesives used meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked.

Simply placing it on a display shelf in your entryway or living room adds a bright, festive touch of the Peach Festival. Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama each have a wooden face with its own expression, bringing out the colors of different wood species. While most Hina dolls are meant only for display, Donguri Hina Ningyo lets you roll Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama down the byōbu's slope — a festival doll set you can touch and enjoy. It is sure to become something you look forward to bringing out each year when the season comes around.

With your child's name and date of birth on the Name Plate, it becomes a festival doll set like no other in the world. It makes a wonderful gift not only for celebrating the festival, but also as a baby gift or a present for friends and people overseas. Every year when you display it, it will surely remind you of the feelings with which it was given.

－　Frequently Asked Questions　－

Q. Can it be played with as a toy?
A. This item is made not as a toy but as a wooden decorative piece, and it is delicately constructed. It is meant to be displayed and enjoyed. As it includes small parts such as glass beads, please have an adult present when placing it within reach of small children to prevent accidental swallowing.

Q. Can the dolls also be moved and played with on the byōbu?
A. Yes. The byōbu forms a small slope, so you can also roll the Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama Donguri down it. However, as it is delicately made, please handle it gently and with care.

Q. What kind of name can be engraved?
A. We engrave your child's name, date of birth, and so on onto the Name Plate. In the "Nameplate Text" field on the product page, please type the text you want directly, starting a new line for each of positions ①②③. The font size will be adjusted according to the number of characters. Please see the images below for details on engraving positions and fonts.

Q. When is it sold?
A. While not guaranteed, we make it each year in time for Hinamatsuri (March 3). Once sold out, it will not be available until the next season. It is also possible that it will not be made in the next season. (Past production: 2022, 2023, 2025, 2026)

Q. Are the paint and adhesive safe?
A. The paint used (Osmo Color Normal Clear) is safe even if licked; once dry, the coating complies with the German industrial standard DIN53160 (saliva and sweat resistance test), the European toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standards). The adhesive is also highly safe: Titebond III (US FDA approved, ASTM D4236 compliant).

－　About Our Originals　－

Donguri Hina Ningyo is a festival-decoration version born from Comomg's original character and original toy, "Donguri Korokoro." While we are very grateful for its popularity, similar products have also been seen. For long-lasting peace of mind, please purchase genuine products from the official Comomg website or authorized retailers.

－　Development Story　－

The Peach Festival (Hinamatsuri) is an important Japanese tradition, said to date back to the Heian period, that wishes for children's healthy growth and happiness. In recent years, however, the custom of displaying Hina dolls has gradually faded. Wanting to pass this tradition on to the next generation, even in a different form, Comomg created Hina dolls with a design that is distinctly Comomg.

Donguri Hina Ningyo grew out of the "Donguri Kabuto" series, created for Boys' Day. While most Hina dolls are meant only for display, Donguri Hina Ningyo turns the byōbu into a slope so you can roll the Odairi-sama and Ohina-sama Donguri — making it a rare "festival doll set you can play with." We aimed for Hina dolls that are beautiful to look at and fun to touch.
