• As it rolls down the slope, the little wooden ball inside knocks against the wood and makes a soft "koto-koto" sound, and its slow rolling motion is easy for little ones whose eyesight is still developing to follow with their eyes. Donguri Kinoko has a heavier head than the regular Donguri Korokoro, so it rolls down the slope even more slowly — making it easier for younger children to track with their eyes.
• Children's hand movements are still less developed than adults', and their hands can be slippery with sweat — but Donguri Kinoko's soft, rounded form is easy for small hands to hold. The colorful, dotted cap is also easy to spot.
