Big Donguri Natural

Currently out of stock. The next production run has not yet been scheduled.

A big-sized acorn is born! This is the oversized version of "Donguri Korokoro," the wooden toy with an acorn-cap character that walks charmingly down a slope. This version is made in the natural colors of real wood, in 5 species: zelkova, purpleheart, hinoki, bubinga, and maple. Offered in limited quantities.

－ Features －

• About 8 times the size of the standard Donguri Korokoro, with dynamic movement to match. The "koto-koto" sound it makes going down a slope rings out loudly too, and it rocks its way down with an impressive presence.
• No color is applied; with only a clear finish, the contrast comes from the natural colors of the wood itself. Enjoy the beauty of the tones and grain that differ from species to species, just as they are.
• The paint and adhesive meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

Place Donguri Deka on a base and tilt it slightly to make a slope, and it will wobble charmingly down step by step. The standard "Donguri Saka" slope is a little small for it, so try playing with the large Donguri Saka, a picture book, or a piece of cardboard.

Simply displaying it brightens up a room, and it is sure to delight as a gift or present.

－ FAQ －

Q. From what age can children play with it?
A. It is recommended for ages 5 and up. Because it is larger and heavier than the standard Donguri Korokoro (ages 3+), the recommended age has been set higher.

Q. Are there any differences between the wood species?
A. All 5 species — zelkova, purpleheart, hinoki, bubinga, and maple — are the same in size and function. Each species has its own color and grain, so please choose the look you like best.

Q. Is the Donguri Saka slope included?
A. No, it is not included. This set contains one Donguri Deka only. For a slope, please use things you have at home, such as the large Donguri Saka, a picture book, or a piece of cardboard.

Q. Are the paint and adhesive safe?
A. We use a paint that is safe even if licked (Osmo Color Normal Clear). Once dry, the coating complies with the German industrial standard DIN 53160 (saliva and sweat resistance test), the European toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standards). The adhesive is the highly safe Titebond III (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).
