Donguri Santa-ko

2025 production is sold out.

A special Christmas-only design has arrived for the popular wooden toy Donguri Korokoro: "Donguri Santa-ko." She's an adorable acorn with vivid yellow hair, wearing a Santa hat and holding a broom.

– Features –

• With her vivid yellow hair, Santa hat, and broom, she's an adorable, one-of-a-kind acorn that really stands out during the Christmas season.
• As it rolls down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood and makes a pleasant "koto-koto" sound, and its slow, swaying descent is easy for little ones whose eyesight is still developing to follow with their eyes.
• Children's hand movements are still less developed than adults', and their hands can be slippery with sweat — but the acorn cap's ridge is shaped to be easy for small hands to grip firmly.
• The paint and glue meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

Place Donguri Santa-ko on the slightly tilted base and she'll sway from side to side as she toddles down the slope. She's fun to play with, and just as lovely simply on display, bringing a festive Christmas touch to any room. The set comes with a hat and a mini tree, so you can display them and enjoy them the moment they arrive.

Also a great gift idea — a handmade wooden toy made in Japan. From the moment it's placed under the tree, it's sure to become something special.

– FAQ –

Q. What age is it suitable for?
A. The recommended age is 5 years and up. Because it includes small parts such as the hat and mini tree, we use age 5 as a guideline, when the risk of accidental swallowing becomes lower.

Q. What kind of sound does it make?
A. As it rolls down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood, making a pleasant "koto-koto" wooden sound.

Q. Are the paint and glue safe?
A. The paint used (Osmo Color Garden Color) is safe even if licked, and once dry, the coating meets the German industrial standard DIN53160 (saliva/sweat resistance test), the EU toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standard). The glue used, Titebond III, is also highly safe (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).

Q. Will it be sold again?
A. Donguri Santa-ko is a Christmas-limited item first made in 2025 in a limited run of 40 pieces. The next production run is undecided.
