Donguri Santa

2025 production is sold out.

A Santa Claus version of Donguri Korokoro, the wooden toy with an acorn cap that walks charmingly down a slope. Available for a limited time each Christmas season.

– Features –

• We gave Donguri Korokoro the look of Santa Claus, the beloved symbol of Christmas cherished by children around the world. Its red and white colors bring a festive touch to any room during the Christmas season.
• As it goes down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood and makes a pleasant "koto-koto" sound, and its slow, swaying, toddling descent is easy for little ones whose eyesight is still developing to follow with their eyes.
• Children's hand movements are still less developed than adults', and their hands can be slippery with sweat — but the acorn cap's ridge is shaped to be easy for small hands to grip firmly.
• The paint and glue used meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

Tilt the base that Donguri Santa sits on just slightly to make a slope, and it will sway from side to side as it charmingly makes its way down. This adorable Donguri Santa is a character that brightens up Christmas — whether you set it walking down a slope or simply display it, it livens up a room.

It's also a popular Christmas gift. From the moment it's placed under the tree, it's sure to become something special.

– FAQ –

Q. What age is it suitable for?
A. The recommended age is 5 years and up. Even children younger than 5 can enjoy its cute movement down the slope if an adult moves it for them.

Q. What kind of sound does it make?
A. As it goes down the slope, the glass ball knocks against the wood, making a pleasant "koto-koto" wooden sound.

Q. Are the paint and glue safe?
A. The paint used (Osmo Color Garden Color) is safe even if licked, and once dry, the coating meets the German industrial standard DIN53160 (saliva/sweat resistance test), the EU toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standard). The glue is also a highly safe product, Titebond III (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).

Q. When is it sold?
A. It's not guaranteed, but we make it every year in time for the Christmas season. Once sold out, it won't be available again until the following season. It's also possible that it won't be produced the following season. (Past production: every year from 2018 to 2025)
