This item is no longer available.
Comomg exhibited at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The exhibition period was three days between June 6 and June 18, and our work was displayed at the "Japan Traditional Crafts Regional Exhibition" held in "WASSE," the EXPO Messe. This "EXPO Donguri 2025" was made to commemorate that exhibition. It was a strictly limited-time item, sold from June 8, 2025 until June 18, when our Expo exhibition ended, and it could be purchased only at the Expo venue and in this online shop.
- Features -
- Based on Donguri Kinoko, this commemorative item features red and blue patterns painted one by one with a brush by a craftsperson on a white base. Every pattern is different; we deliberately varied their size and placement, so no two are alike.
- As it goes down the slope, the glass marble taps against the wood with a pleasant "koto-koto" sound, and its slow rolling motion is easy to follow even for little eyes whose vision is still developing.
- Children's hand movements are not yet as skilled as adults', and their hands tend to get sweaty and slippery, but the soft form of Donguri Kinoko sits comfortably in small hands.
- The paint and adhesive meet Japanese and international safety standards and are safe even if licked (see the FAQ below for details).

- FAQ -
Q. Can I choose the pattern?
A. Every pattern is hand-painted by a craftsperson, and no two are alike. For online shop orders, the pattern is chosen at random. Please note that we cannot accept returns for reasons such as not liking the pattern.
Q. What kind of sound does it make?
A. As it goes down the slope, the glass marble taps against the wood, making a pleasant wooden "koto-koto" sound.
Q. Are the paint and adhesive safe?
A. The paint used (Osmo Color Wood Wax Opaque) is safe even if licked; once dry, the coating complies with German industrial standard DIN 53160 (saliva and sweat resistance test), the European toy safety standard EN71-3, and Japan's Food Sanitation Act (toy standards). The adhesive is the highly safe Titebond III (FDA-approved in the US, ASTM D4236 compliant).
